The Riddet Institute has invested in three new Postdoctoral Fellowship positions for the advancement of research delivery in the Centre of Research Excellence multidisciplinary programme. Each Fellowship is targeted at a specific project area, with the projects themselves being multi-disciplinary and covering a broad spectrum of CoRE-affiliated research (please find more details below). If you wish to find out more, see the job listings on our website here or email Professor Warren McNabb at W.McNabb@massey.ac.nz. The deadline for applications will be 7th January 2018 at 11:45pm NZT.
Postdoctoral Fellow – Effects of dietary components on digestion and nutrient uptake kinetics
The essence of this project is to develop new understanding of the complex interactions between the structural aspects of the components of food, proteins, fats, carbohydrates etc. on their digestion with the focus being to assess the effect of interactions on gut physio-chemistry, digestion and absorption kinetics. To make an application, please go here.
Postdoctoral Fellow – Future foods and ingredients with novel functionality
The essence of this project is to synthesise existing knowledge on food structures and nutrient delivery and develop new structured food ingredients and products that could be used by the food industry. To make an application please go here.
Postdoctoral Fellow – Modelling physical processes underlying digestion
The essence of this project will build on existing work to develop more advanced mechanical stomach and intestine simulators to dynamically mimic the physio-chemical actions of the human stomach and intestineswhich will be validated against in vivo data and utilised to characterise the digestive properties associated with different dietary conditions. To make an application, please go here.
