A nutrition and digestive physiology researcher with expertise and experience in the study of gastrointestinal endogenous protein- and food-derived bioactive peptides, and other bioactive compounds. Currently working in the areas of diet-related diseases and sustainable food systems.

At the Riddet Institute, Dr Acharya is working in the areas of sustainable diets and public health nutrition. The project aims to examine the impact of food choices on climate change. The findings of this work will help develop dietary recommendations for achieving sustained food and nutrition security.
