Newest Riddet Institute Principal Investigator: Prof Joanne Hort

As well as becoming the Riddet Institute’s latest PI, Professor Joanne Hort has recently been appointed at Massey University as the Fonterra Riddet Chair in Consumer and Sensory Science. Previously at the University of Nottingham in the UK, she is a world-renowned expert in sensory science whose research has focused on working closely with industry to combine sensory, consumer and analytical approaches to understand flavour perception and consumer preference. Prof Hort’s sensory expertise will prove invaluable for the Riddet Institute’s future research Endeavours and forays into the field of sensory science.
