Dr Mei Peng

Dr. Mei Peng is a Senior Lecturer in Sensory Science at University of Otago. Using neuroscience and experimental psychology, Peng’s research focusses on inter-individual differences in sensory perception and their links to consumer-related behaviour. She has led the establishment of Sensory Neuroscience Laboratory at University of Otago, where she has undertaken a number of multi-disciplinary studies that address a wide range of sensory-related challenges, including a Marsden Fast-Start project on establishing individual multi-sensory fingerprints. In 2021, she has been awarded a full Marsden grant on metabolic drivers of sensory perception and food choices.
