Akashdeep Beniwal

Akashdeep Beniwal is a Postdoctoral Fellow working with Dr Alejandra Acevedo-Fani to investigate the functionalities of novel protein systems. He did his Bachelor and Master degrees in Dairy Science and Technology and then worked for three years in the commercial dairy industry before commencing a PhD at Massey University in 2018, with Dr Jaspreet Singh and Prof Harjinder Singh as co-supervisors. Akashdeep’s PhD investigated the development second-generation hybrid meat analogues using plant and dairy protein with enhanced nutritional properties.
