FSDH2017 Award Goes to Riddet Institute Student

The Riddet Institute would like to congratulate Anika Hoogeveen , a Riddet Institute PhD student, on her win at the Food Structure, Digestion and Health Conference 2017 held in Sydney, Australia from 24th – 27th October, co-hosted by CSIRO and the Riddet Institute. Anika was awarded the Best Student Poster prize for her poster entitled “Ileal fermentation of dietary fibres – using a combined in vivo / in vitro ileal fermentation assay”. Anika’s research project focuses on fermentation of dietary fibre in the small intestine and is supervised by Dr Carlos Montoya (Riddet Institute Affiliated Researcher, Massey University) and Prof Warren McNabb (Riddet Institute Deputy Director).
