21 May 2024 - US-based academic platform Research.com has included Riddet Institute scientists in its annual rankings of the best scientists in the field of chemistry.
The Riddet Institute affiliated scientists in the New Zealand list are:

18th - Professor Aiqian Ye
21st - Professor Geoffrey Jameson
34th - Professor Skelte Anema
35th - Professor Siew Young Quek
36th - Professor Juliet Gerrard
Research.com Co-founder and Chief Data Scientist Imed Bouchrika says the list, released last month, is the third annual report of the top chemists. He says the rankings aim to capture researchers and academics who are making major contributions to the field of chemistry by looking at their publications, awards, and other academic achievements.
“Our objective in presenting this study is to enhance the prominence of chemical specialists and assist researchers in the discipline.”
Dr Bouchrika says chemists are doing important work in many critical areas, such as finding scientific ways to address climate change. He says chemistry will be significant “in constructing a more environmentally friendly future”. The rankings also help connect chemists with others working in similar fields.
