Dr Fatema Ahmmed

Fatema holds a PhD degree from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Otago, where she was supervised by Professor Keith Gordon and Dr Sara Miller from University of Otago, and Dr Daniel Killeen from Plant and Food Research. Her research during her PhD was focused on the non-destructive assessment of marine-derived lipids and freshwater micro-algae using vibrational spectroscopy. In addition, she has a Master's degree in Fish Processing and Quality Control. She has received hands-on kitchen training for several years. She is passionate about creating different types of healthy and delicious food using her own recipes. She is currently working with Dr Ali Rashidinejad on various commercial projects.
