Prof David Cameron-Smith

Professor Cameron-Smith completed a PhD in nutritional biochemistry at Deakin University, Australia. He has held multiple Professorial appointments, including at the University of Auckland, a position he held simultaneously to being the inaugural Director and Science Director of the National Science Challenge, High Value Nutrition. Most recently he was Director, Clinical Nutrition Research Centre, the Agency for Science and Technology (A*STAR), Singapore.

His research expertise is randomised clinical trials, with an emphasis on determination of the cellular and molecular actions of nutrients. His ongoing collaborative research includes highly cited publications detailing the mechanistic regulation of proteins on muscle hypertrophy, lipids and their relationship to insulin sensitivity and microbiome-derived metabolites and metabolic health.
