Kalmee Pramoda Kariyawasam holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Food Science and Technology from the University of Peradeniya, and previously worked as an Assistant Research Technologist at the Industrial Technology Institute, Sri Lanka. Her doctoral research at the Riddet Institute is focused on developing physiologically relevant in vitro models of human digestion, aiming to bridge the gap between in vitro and in vivo data, ultimately contributing to the development of more effective tools for optimising food applications with tangible health benefits.
