Ushenya Peiris holds a Bachelors Honours degree in Food Science and Technology from University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka with a First Class. Her research expertise is based on food quality, analytical science, machine learning and predictive model development. She completed her research internship at Sri Lanka Tea Board and an industrial internship at RichLife Dairies in Sri Lanka. Her PhD thesis is titled 'From Mouth to Model: Mimicking oral processing for better in-vitro digestion Models.'
