Siting Li is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working on microbial biotechnology and precision fermentation. Her research focuses on microbial lipid metabolism and fermentation systems for the sustainable production of functional food ingredients. Her research background includes work on lipid-producing microorganisms and microbial metabolic pathways involved in polyunsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis. She has experience working with a range of microbial systems and fermentation approaches, as well as genetic engineering strategies for studying microbial lipid metabolism. At the Riddet Institute, she contributes to research exploring microbial fermentation for the production of functional lipids and proteins for food and nutrition applications.
